We recently had the privilege of brewing our first-ever wet hop beer. The 4Qs crew gathered to pick Comet hops off the bine grown by our own Heather at her family’s hop yard in North Hero to be used in our aptly named forthcoming beer – North Hero Hop Comet. The beer was also brewed with some overnighted wet Comet hops from Crosby Hops in Oregon.

A wet hop beer means we are using full cone hops in the brewing process right after they are picked, versus the dried hop pellets we typically use. Hop harvest season (August-September) is a special time of year where freshly harvested hops are bountifully available! Very excited for this one.

North Hero Hop Comet is an IPA brewed with fresh Comet hops from North Hero Hops & Agriculture and Crosby Hop Farm, 7%.
